Vera Stewart is a nationally-recognized TV personality, cookbook author, and entrepreneur whose career in the food and hospitality industries spans nearly four decades. She is an accomplished speaker and covers a wide variety of topics, all of which are motivational. Vera’s philosophy is based on a winning attitude and passion for perfection.
Launching her career in the 1980s with a cottage catering business, VeryVera, she has become a household name with ventures that included a bakery and café, and a national mail order business for her signature cakes and casseroles. She currently has the cooking and lifestyle show The VeryVera Show, the VeryVera Cookbook Series, the VeryVera Cooking Camp, and VERA, a catering, concierge and hospitality service for patrons of the Masters tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
With a passion for Southern dishes passed down through generations, her manifoldbusiness endeavors have inspired people all over the nation to create memories in the kitchen. The VeryVera Show, about to be in Season 12, will be syndicated in 42 markets, the popular VeryVera Cooking Camp is in its 20th year, her first cookbook, Recipes from my Table, is in its fifth print and her new cookbook, Occasions, launched in Spring 2023. Vera’s Strawberry Layer Cake made Oprah’s Favorite Things list in 2009, and Vera (and her Carrot Cake) appeared on an episode of The Food Network’s Throwdown with Bobby Flay… and won!
Vera’s first cookbook which launched in 2018, The VeryVera Cookbook: Recipes from my Table, were all products out of her mail-order and cake business, whereas her newest cookbook, Occasions, is all her past catering recipes that have stood the test of time!
